Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best known for her roles on the TV shows The Shield and True Blood. She has proven her versatility since 2003 by delivering outstanding performances on TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 1-8-7 and Under the Dome. First noticed in 2005 for the character of Anna, as seen in Assault on Precinct 13 Her first recognition came from her part in the biographical 2005 movie All the Way. Hind also received high praises for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman's in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series is scheduled to be renewed for a second season. Hind completed filming for the Hollywood blockbuster Godzilla: King of the Monsters that is scheduled to be released by the middle of 2019.
